My Story
You didn’t suddenly fall apart, it was more like the way you used to carry things just stopped working and no one could tell you why.
There was a point where stress didn’t move through you the way it always had, it stayed, it built, it turned into something louder, panic that came out of nowhere, exhaustion that didn’t match your life on paper, and you kept trying to handle it the way you always had because that’s who you’d been for so long.
And what made it harder was that nothing about you looked like someone who couldn’t cope, so you kept going, quietly slipping further into survival mode without a language for what was actually happening inside your body.
My Shift
At the time, I didn’t have that language either. I just knew something had shifted and I couldn’t think or push or discipline my way back to how I used to feel.
It took time, research, and eventually training to understand that what I was moving through wasn’t random, it was perimenopause, and my body wasn’t failing me, it was asking for a completely different way of being met.
That realisation didn’t come all at once, it came through slowing down enough to notice, through practices that didn’t try to override what I was feeling, but brought me closer to it.
My Journey
Yoga, meditation, and mindfulness weren’t quick fixes, they were the first places I experienced what it felt like to stop fighting my body and start listening to it.
That shift took me further than I expected, into deeper study, into spaces that asked something different of me, from the hills of Sri Lanka to ashrams in India and the quiet intensity of Vipassana practice, where you don’t get to distract yourself from what’s actually there.
I trained as a yoga teacher within the Sivananda tradition, and continued to deepen my work through yin somatics, restorative yoga, Thai massage, and practices that work with the nervous system rather than against it.
But what matters more than any training is how this work is held because the women I work with are not starting from zero.
They’re capable, aware, already doing so much, and yet they’re noticing the same thing I did, that subtle disconnect, the sense that something is changing and the old ways of managing themselves aren’t quite landing anymore.
So this isn’t about fixing you or giving you another system to follow. It’s about creating the space where you can start to recognise what your body has been trying to communicate, without rushing to override it.
My Work
My work is slow on purpose. It’s calm, spacious, and grounded in giving you agency, not taking it away.
We work with breath, with movement, with stillness, and with the spaces in between, because that’s often where the information you’ve been missing actually lives.
The breath becomes less of a technique and more of a way back into yourself, something you can trust when everything else feels slightly off.
And over time, what tends to shift isn’t just symptoms, it’s your relationship with your body.
You stop second guessing it. You stop pushing past it. You start recognising yourself in it again.
Because this phase isn’t asking you to become someone new. It’s asking you to come back to yourself in a way that actually holds where you are now.
